Overview
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and personable merchandiser capable of providing first-class customer service to a membership accustomed to the highest level. The ideal candidate will be available from April until mid-November. In late fall of 2026, an exciting long range planning project will begin construction which includes the addition of a new golf shop. The new employee will have the opportunity to be involved with the planning of the new shop, to open in 2027.
Experience Required
Willingness to learn, acceptance of coaching, and driven to perform all tasks at the highest level. Genuine passion for merchandising and a desire for continued growth within the profession. Flexible and dependable, with the ability to adapt to the dynamic schedule and demands of a seasonal private club. Strong communication and teamwork, fostering collaboration within the professional staff. Exceptional member engagement skills, with a polished and service-oriented approach.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide first-class customer service to all members and guests. Support the Director of Golf and Golf Shop Manager with the day-to-day operation of the golf shop. Presents merchandise in attractive displays and rotate, keeping a fresh look to the golf shop. Uphold a welcoming, attentive, and professional demeanor with members, guests, and staff. Assist and manage the receiving, stocking, and inventory management of the golf shop. Assist and manage special merchandise orders and ensure timely fulfillments for all members. Sells and maintains shop merchandise while providing member and guest service. Answer questions regarding club amenities, events, lessons and merchandise inquiries.
