About the Role
The Director of Golf provides leadership and strategic direction for golf operations at Fords Colony Country Club a privately owned semi private country club located within the Fords Colony residential community in Williamsburg Virginia. The club features 54 holes of championship golf across three separate 18 hole courses supporting roughly 80000 rounds annually through a balanced mix of member play and outside guest revenue.
This is a hands on leadership role with full responsibility for daily golf operations tournament and outing business merchandise staff development and member engagement. The Director of Golf reports to the General Manager and partners closely with department heads across agronomy food and beverage and membership. The next Director of Golf will also play a meaningful role in the long range planning process currently underway.
Ideal candidates bring proven golf operations leadership at a high volume facility a strong outside play and tournament sales track record and the ability to balance member service with the demands of a busy public play operation.
Compensation$95000 - $105000 annually plus performance bonus potential tied to operating results.
