Overview This position oversees the entire golf and ski day-to-day operations, including the Golf Shop, Golf Course, Golf Tournaments, Golf Car Fleet Operations, and Golf Practice Facilities. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and services. Train team members with the needed knowledge of all activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Represent the resort within the local and national golf community through organizations such as the PGA, the CGA, and the USGA. Enforce all facility rules and regulations governing the use of golf course, golf cars, and other golf facilities. Work with the Golf Sales Manager to assist in the execution of golf tournaments and lessons. Be financially responsible for the entire golf operation. Lead private lessons with guests. Maintain a close relationship with the golf assistant manager to assist with golf maintenance needs. Supervise the use of the reservation system and the POS. Devote a reasonable number of hours giving lessons and playing golf with guests. Execute all member communication including electronic newsletters, email blasts, and the member website. Maintain all membership records, including the membership database, and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly membership reports as needed. Accurately answer any member questions regarding their membership account. Qualifications Must be a Class A PGA professional in good standing or have passed Level II of the GPTP. Requires 3 years of experience as a Golf Professional. Experienced in tournament operations and golf shop merchandising. Minimum 1 year of previous recreation/ski experience. Must be able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a hospitality or resort environment preferred. Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
