Byrncliff Golf Resort & Banquets is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Assistant Superintendent to join our golf course maintenance team for the 2026 season.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the Superintendent in maintaining exceptional playing conditions at one of Western New York’s scenic public golf resorts. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the turfgrass industry.
Located in the rolling hills of Wyoming County, Byrncliff is an 18-hole public golf resort situated on 175 acres, surrounded by an additional 200 acres of forest and agricultural land. Our operation includes a well-equipped maintenance facility, modern turf equipment fleet, and a strong commitment to continual course improvement.
What You’ll Do
Assist in daily golf course maintenance operations
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems
Apply fertilizers and pesticides safely and accurately
Participate in daily course setup and conditioning
Train and oversee maintenance staff as needed
Assist with equipment operation and general turf practices
Work directly with the Superintendent on agronomic planning and execution

Compensation & Benefits
$27–$32/hour based on experience
Seasonal position (April–October) with potential for year-round employment based on performance and operational needs.

Qualifications
Any golf course or turf industry experience preferred
Knowledge of irrigation repair and turf maintenance practices
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and in varying weather conditions
Strong communication skills and positive attitude
Pesticide license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
