Job Overview The Head Golf Professional directs the daily golf‑related activities of the entire golf operation in accordance with PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc. policies and procedures, manages the Golf Shop, and ensures the highest level of service to members and guests. Responsibilities Create a consistent, high‑expectation golf experience for PGA TOUR players, members, and guests. Maintain a high profile with PGA TOUR players, members, and guests. Promote the club’s service philosophy positively. Ensure all members and guests are greeted and welcomed professionally. Establish and maintain the daily “pace of play standard.” Administer the club tournament program. Assist in developing promotional materials for programs. Design additional membership experiences, including member trips of varying size and location. Maintain the service standards, functionality, and safety of the golf simulator room. Head Professional Expectations Project a positive image for the club, PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, and the PGA TOUR with the press, players, committees, prospective members, guests, and merchandise manufacturers. Communicate information professionally, sell merchandise, and maintain full product knowledge. Anticipate member and guest needs and offer appropriate merchandise or alternatives. Answer telephones clearly and courteously to schedule reservations and provide information. Maintain the playing standards required for all Head Golf Professionals in the TPC Network. Complete special projects or other duties as assigned. Business / Operational Duties Direct outside golf operations, ensuring proper control of membership and guest services. Set up and maintain practice facilities, course advisors, golf‑car maintenance, bag storage, and club repair activities. Ensure locker‑room staff uphold service and cleanliness standards and maintain adequate supplies. Develop the annual golf‑shop operating budget, manage line items, and control general expenses. Forecast business levels relative to the budget throughout the year. Establish equipment and supply requirements and maintain accountability for cost, utilization, and performance. Assist in planning and executing outings and tournaments. Coordinate purchases of high‑quality gifts and awards. Maintain ordering, receiving, and storage programs as established. Administer physical inventories and maintain proper shrink controls. Consult with PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties on merchandise purchases and maintain acceptable inventory levels. Verify price accuracy for taxes and charges and operate the point‑of‑sale system per the club operations manual. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the golf shop, storage areas, and displays. Staffing Responsibilities Lead employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Plan and schedule staffing levels for assistants, sales staff, shop coordinator, locker‑room staff, and outside‑operations staff. Hire and train all golf‑operations employees, subject to general manager approval. Conduct annual and semi‑annual performance reviews, develop self‑improvement programs, and recommend salary changes. Promote the club and TPC Network service model as a role model for staff. Ensure the seasonal caddie program meets service standards, attendance, and remains part of the golf‑operations staff. Physical Demands The role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Regular duties include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, using hands, talking, listening, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, depth, color, distance, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations. Travel Travel is not expected for this position. Work Schedule Expectations Shifts are scheduled as necessary based on business levels. Supervisory Responsibility Manages employees and is responsible for performance management and the hiring of the golf‑operations staff. Salary: USD 110000 - 130000 per year Experience: 5 years required
