As the Food & Beverage Director at Concert Golf Partners' Club at 12 Oaks, the individual will hold a critical leadership role overseeing the entire food and beverage operations throughout the club. This position is responsible for managing daily activities within multiple outlets including member dining areas, member events, turn grill, pool snack bar, banquet services, and catering functions. The role demands a strong focus on maintaining the highest standards of quality, service, and hospitality that meet or exceed member expectations. The ideal candidate will successfully balance operational demands with member satisfaction, while ensuring budget adherence and profitability through cost and labor control.
The Food & Beverage Director will recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff ensuring that all employees clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. They will coach and motivate the team to foster high morale and productivity, while holding staff accountable to meet performance standards. Budget management is a key element of this role, requiring the development and monitoring of department budgets and financial strategies that maximize revenue and minimize waste. The position requires hands-on involvement in daily operations, including direct engagement with staff, members, and guests to promote a positive dining experience.
Additionally, the Director will collaborate with the corporate team to develop and implement operational strategies and marketing initiatives that support department goals. Compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards, including food safety and alcoholic beverage regulations, is essential to the role. The role encompasses overseeing inventory management, purchasing, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the upkeep of cleanliness and organization across all food and beverage areas.
This executive role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, leadership experience in hospitality management, proficiency with relevant software including POS systems, and professional certifications in food safety and alcoholic beverages. BA/BS in club/hospitality management, business, or related field preferred
Experience with payroll cost controls, Microsoft Word/Excel, and Northstar or other similar club POS systems
Possess food safety and alcoholic beverage certification
Demonstrated ability to be a team leader, manage employees, and handle members/guests in a diplomatic, constructive, and professional manner
Must possess exceptional organizational skills and high internal standards of quality and service
Must be able to effectively hire, train, motivate, discipline, and terminate employees
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to communicate effectively with staff of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and education levels
Proven ability to diagnose problems, respond to complaints, and increase food and beverage efficiencies
Excellent listening skills, oral communication skills, and positive interpersonal skills are required
