Golf Course Equipment Mechanic

Overview Aberdeen Golf & Country Club, a distinguished private club located in Boynton Beach in the heart of Palm Beach County, is seeking a skilled and dependable Golf Course Equipment Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of the Club’s golf course equipment fleet. This role is essential to ensuring that all equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance to support the daily operations of the Agronomy team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, along with a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized shop environment. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of equipment including gas, diesel, electric, and small engines Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems on equipment including John Deere, Toro, and Club Car Grind, bench-set, and adjust cutting units to ensure optimal turf performance and quality of cut Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all golf course equipment, including mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, and aerators Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records for all equipment repairs and maintenance Communicate equipment issues, repair needs, and parts requirements to the Director of Agronomy Perform on-course repairs as needed to support uninterrupted golf course operations Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored Adhere to all safety standards and procedures while promoting a safety-first work environment Qualifications · Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in golf course, landscaping, or related equipment · Strong working knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and small equipment repair · Experience with cutting-unit grinding and setup preferred · Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills · Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the Agronomy team · Ability to read and understand English; bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) a plus · Valid driver’s license required · Availability to work a flexible schedule, including partial weekends as needed Work Environment & Physical Demands · Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting · Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds · Work performed in a shop environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions · Exposure to mechanical parts, noise, and shop equipment Compensation & Benefits Aberdeen Golf & Country Club offers a competitive benefits package, including: 401(k) plan with company match Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Complimentary daily lunch Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Work Location: In person
