Hourly rate: 17.25 – 19.75 USD
Position Summary
Reporting to the Sales and Service Manager, a Club Services Associate will execute all Club Services, including re‑gripping, re‑shafting, loft and lie adjustments, and front‑end operations such as returns, exchanges, and promotions. The Associate will maintain a premier merchandise presentation to enhance sales and the customer experience, ensuring all areas are operational and well‑kept. Additionally, the role requires assessing and diagnosing club issues, communicating repair options, and documenting service orders accurately to support inventory management while fostering a culture of safety and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with every customer and offer world‑class service by leveraging PGATSS Service behaviors, building lasting relationships that keep customers coming back.
Perform all Club Services such as re‑gripping, re‑shafting, loft & lie measurements and adjustments.
Execute front‑end operations including returns, exchanges, gift cards, lesson redemptions, loyalty program awards, discounts, promotions, and coupons.
Assist in maintaining front‑end and services merchandise presence at a premier stock and visual level to drive sales and the customer experience.
Ensure all Club Services and front‑end areas, equipment, and supplies are always maintained and operational.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance across all departments.
Maintain the Club Services desk and surrounding area in a clean, professional presentation at all times.
Communicate repair options, costs, and timelines clearly to customers.
Assess and diagnose issues with golf clubs, including shafts, grips, and heads to determine necessary repairs.
Document repair orders, track work progress, and maintain accurate records of services performed for customer reference through the Golf & Tennis Services App.
Stay up to date on upcoming merchandising promotions and marketing events to maintain a strong merchandising presence throughout the life cycle of a promotion using bulletin boards on The Links.
Champion product and service offerings, informing, educating, and promoting to customers.
Provide consistent feedback to the Sales and Service Manager on operational and merchandising opportunities to maintain a best‑in‑class customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Communication – strong listening and interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication, and cross‑functional communication ability.
Computer – basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Organization – ability to organize multiple priorities to meet deadlines and objectives.
Education – high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience – 2+ years in retail materials handling, club repair, or similar preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands – ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift a 30‑lb box overhead.
Schedule – ability to maintain flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Business Acumen – ability to quickly learn business practices with appropriate training.
Accountability – demonstration of strong self‑accountability and proactive drive for results.
