Member Services Attendant
Reporting Relationship: Director of Golf/ Head Golf Professional/ Assistant Golf Professional

Basic Function: The Member Services Attendant assists in directing the daily activities of the member services operation in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Club. The Member
Services Attendant is highly visible and conscientiously tends to the needs of members/guests, ensuring that their experience is enjoyable and world-class.
Principal Duties:
Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner and ensure that members/guests do not carry their own clubs.
Assist in the set-up, maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of the valet/bag drop, staging area, bag room, practice facility, storage areas, golf car facility, golf cars, utility vehicles and all golf operation equipment.
Maintain high profile with members and guests.
Ensure that standards of operations are maintained for the golf department.
Positively promote the service philosophy of the Club.
Provide club storage to members and guests and maintain proper club storage records.
Professionally communicate information about golf services and become fully knowledgeable about all fees and services.
Provide impeccably clean and perfectly maintained golf cars to members/guests. Conduct daily preventative maintenance and assist with the repair of the golf cars ensuring accurate golf car records are kept documenting all repairs and preventative maintenance.
Assist in maintaining the practice facility to include set-up, clean orderly appearance of hitting stations and short game area, clean and adequate supply of practice balls and service throughout the day.
Assist in maintaining responsibility and accountability for all tools, equipment and supplies.
Professionally communicate information regarding various services and become fully knowledgeable in all products and the game of golf.
Ensure that uniforms and name tags are worn and kept in proper condition.
Assist in monitoring the flow of play. Ensure that member/guests are made aware of the rules and special daily playing conditions on the golf course. Communicate information in a professional and pleasant manner.
Communicate by two-way radios with the golf shop and Golf Professional Staff to ensure the operation operates in an efficient manner.
Answer questions and provide information and assistance to members/guests.
Perform any other tasks requested by the management, the Club or the Owner.
Job Description – Member Services Attendant
Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:
Good organizational skills and good verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
Ability to provide and receive verbal instructions via two-way radio communication.
Ability to use rational thinking to solve problems.
Ability to visually inspect the bag drop, staging area, bag room, practice facility, storage areas, golf car facility, golf cars, utility vehicles and all golf operation equipment.
Ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds constantly.
Ability to perform activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.
Educational, Development and Work-Related Experience:
Must be at least 18 years old, with high school education or equivalent experience.
Thorough knowledge of golf and prior private country club experience is preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions:
Works primarily outdoors operating the Member Service Operation.
Potential exposure to inclement weather, equipment movement hazards, misdirected golf balls and dangerous chemicals/solvents, pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers if proper safety procedures are not followed.
