The Golf Shop Attendant promotes the game of golf and the club while providing the upmost hospitality and service to the guests of the club. They respond to inquiries and make tee-times for guests both in person and on the phone. Responsibilities
Ensure every guest has a memorable experience by providing excellent customer service and promptly addressing any inquiries or concernsMake tee time reservations for guests, promote golf and club amenities, and assist guests with renting carts while completing necessary paperworkMaintain cleanliness and organization of the pro-shop and office areas, including ordering merchandise and ensuring proper storage and displayAccurately check in golfers, handle cash transactions, and adhere to cash handling procedures while upholding operational standardsManage inventory levels, open and close the pro-shop, and reconcile cash register at the end of each shift, making deposits as requiredPrepare golf carts for member and guest use, ensuring they are free of debris and stocked with necessary items like towels and scorecardsOperate equipment to retrieve range balls from the driving range and maintain cleanliness of golf carts, including washing and sanitizing as neededAssist guests in safely operating golf carts, providing instruction as necessary, and arranging range balls and baskets according to club standardsPerforms other related duties as assignedRequirements
Proficient in providing outstanding service to guests and residents, ensuring their needs are met with excellenceAbility to convey information clearly and persuasively to individuals and groups of customers or associatesCapable of applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in various formats, whether written, oral, or diagram formSkilled in addressing challenges that may arise, particularly those involving multiple variables in standardized situationsDemonstrated track record of providing exceptional customer service, highlighting the ability to effectively meet guests' needsMust exhibit a strong willingness to learn and participate in new golf programs, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a high level of drive and motivationFlexibility in schedule, including availability for evening and weekend shifts, is essential for this roleNice-to-haves
