Part-Time Laborer - Golf Maintenance

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of unskilled, semiskilled and skilled tasks relating to the maintenance and repair of golf course grounds, facilities and equipment. Perform maintenance at the two city-owned municipal golf courses and the aquatic center. Must be 16 or older to apply. • Cut grass, weed eat and trim at South and North Trace Golf Courses and aquatic center. • Maintain and repair facilities grounds; trim bushes, trees and shrubs; perform rough carpentry and concrete work; paint buildings and facilities; perform minor custodial duties as assigned and spread mulch throughout the golf courses. • Empty trash cans and pick up trash around the course. • In a safe and effective manner operate equipment such as tractor, mower, dump truck, pickup truck, chain saw, and various other hand and power tools. • Manually shovel and move salt, dirt, snow etc.; lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. • Conduct work in all kinds of weather, pleasant, inclement and hazardous. • Any other duties that are assigned by the Heads Greenskeeper. • Effective oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to develop and maintain positive working relationships. • Must be willing and able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including significant heat. • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License.
