About the Role
Our client, a prestigious golf club renowned for its exceptional facilities and service, is looking for an experienced and charismatic Head Golf Professional to manage all golf operations in **Baltimore, Maryland**. This role demands a blend of top-tier golf instruction, expert retail management, and outstanding customer service. The Head Golf Professional will be responsible for enhancing the member and guest experience, driving revenue through various golf-related activities, and maintaining the club's reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily golf operations, including tee time management, course conditions, and player services. Provide high-quality golf instruction and clinics to members and guests of all skill levels. Manage the golf shop inventory, merchandising, purchasing, and sales, ensuring profitability. Organize and execute club tournaments, leagues, and special golf events. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase golf revenue and participation. Maintain excellent relationships with members, guests, and club staff, ensuring high satisfaction levels. Supervise and train assistant golf professionals, caddies, and pro shop staff. Manage budgets for the golf operations department, including forecasting and financial reporting. Ensure the upkeep and presentation of all golf facilities, including the practice areas and club storage. Collaborate with the Greens and Grounds department to ensure optimal course conditions. Stay current with industry trends, new teaching methodologies, and golf technology.
Qualifications:
PGA or LPGA Class A Professional certification is mandatory. Minimum of 7 years of experience in golf operations management and instruction. Proven track record of successful retail sales and inventory management within a golf environment. Exceptional teaching and coaching skills, with a passion for developing golfers. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service abilities. Experience in event planning and tournament management. Proficiency in golf management software (e.g., Jonas, Clubessential) and POS systems. A solid understanding of golf course maintenance and agronomy principles is beneficial. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by club operations in **Baltimore, Maryland**. A professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the club's standards.
