pstrongLifeguard Responsibilities:/strong/p
ul
liSafeguards and regulates the conduct of members and guests./li
liEnforces pool policies, rules, and regulations in a kind and courteous manner./li
liResponds to emergencies and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid./li
liTests water quality in pool and maintains appropriate records./li
liAssists in the proper maintenance and sanitary upkeep of the pool, pool area, bathrooms, and locker rooms./li
liParticipates in guarding rotations as instructed by leadership./li
liCovers pool concierge duties as instructed by leadership./li
liAssists in maintaining proper chemical balances in both pool and hot tub/spa as directed./li
liProvides written reports on all incidents following detailed protocols./li
liMaintains updated safety requirements./li
liMaintains organization and cleanliness of pump rooms./li
liAttends in-service training and participates in staff meetings./li
liConducts patron swimming tests to assess ability to swim independently and unattended./li
liProvides high level customer service to members and guests./li
liWorks directly with the Aquatics leadership team to resolve member concerns./li
liReports any member concerns to Aquatics leadership in a timely manner./li
liPerforms work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures and practices behavior that ensures the safety of fellow employees, members, and guests./li
liOperates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to leadership in a timely manner./li
liWorks a variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and/or holidays./li
liComplies with departmental and Club policies and procedures./li
liPerforms all other duties, as assigned within job scope./li

pstrongLifeguard Minimum Qualifications:/strong/p

liLifeguard certification required./li
li1 years’ experience as a certified lifeguard preferred./li
liSwim Instructor certification is a plus./li
liOutstanding verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills./li
liWell-developed team skills, unquestioned confidence, and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships/li
liMust be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations/li
liMust have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and guests./li

liSwims, stands and walks for 95% of the workday./li
liAbility to lift up to 50 lbs./li
liStoops, crawls, reaches, and kneels 50% of the workday./li
