About the Role
## Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional supports daily golf operations at the club and assists Pro Shop activities to coordinate golf-related services that enhance the member and guest experience. This role is dedicated to promoting the game of golf while ensuring operations align with company policies and operational standards. You will take a proactive approach to staff training and development, merchandising, and delivering exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment.
### How you will spend your days
You will report to the Head Golf Professional and engage with members through golf events, personalized interactions, and promotion of golf programs. Participation in rounds of golf will be required as needed to support player development initiatives. You will help maintain the cleanliness and organization of outside areas, including staging zones, practice ranges, and golf cart storage. Coordinating, promoting, and managing tournaments and special golf-related events will be part of your contribution to golf activities.
You will assist in managing the handicap program, pro-shop operations, and practice facilities so members receive seamless, efficient service. Guiding golf attendants, pro-shop personnel, and outside services staff on customer service excellence, tee time management, check-in procedures, and guest fee processing is expected. Maintaining consistency in operational procedures, such as standards for staging areas, driving range setup, and golf cart storage, will be important.
Supporting the promotion of golf clinics, private lessons, and specialized programs for adults, juniors, and seniors will help foster high member satisfaction and alignment with club standards. You will also assist with budgeting, inventory planning and control by providing staff guidance on inventory procedures, maintaining adequate stock levels, and overseeing product display, pricing strategies and promotions to drive sales and meet member needs.

Because the club environment is dynamic, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks assigned by management. You must follow all company, club, and department policies and procedures, maintain a high level of professionalism, and follow safe working practices. Initiative in personal and professional growth and maintaining any required certifications relevant to your role are required. Addressing and resolving challenges using available resources and working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations will be part of the job. Attendance at daily briefings and active engagement in required activities is expected.
### About you — requirements and preferences
Required: a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Preferred: completion of PGA certification preferred (minimum associate level). ### Physical demands and tools
Work is primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity. The role requires sitting, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and bending. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. The job involves regular use of sight, hearing, and speech.

### Schedule and pay information
Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule is expected. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines and availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required are part of the job. Your actual base pay will be determined by your skills, experience, education, location, and—if you're in a non-exempt role—hours worked.
