About the Role
Bounty Club is seeking a motivated Assistant in Training (AIT) to join their Agronomy team at a premiere private golf club in Whites Creek (Nashville), TN. The club boasts an 18-hole championship golf course designed by King-Collins, set on 464 acres of picturesque Tennessee farmland. As an AIT, you will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendents, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of golf course maintenance including irrigation management, fertility programs, pesticide applications, and crew leadership. The role provides a clear pathway for advancement with responsibilities that prepare individuals for future leadership roles in golf course management. - Assist with daily golf course maintenance planning and execution.
- Help supervise, train, and motivate maintenance team members.
- Assist with irrigation system scheduling, troubleshooting, repairs, and inventory management.
- Support fertilizer and pesticide applications, including calibration, mixing, application, and recordkeeping.
- Maintain accurate weather, irrigation, fertilizer, and pesticide records.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to club policies and procedures.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of turfgrass management practices and equipment operation.
- Assist in delivering exceptional playing conditions throughout the property.
- Associate degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of golf course maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, fertility programs, pesticide applications, and golf course operations.
- Tennessee pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
- Valid Tennessee driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
