About the Role
Description
Performs varied pro shop duties as the front‑line customer service representative and cashier at Mariana Butte Golf Course, Loveland Olde Course, or Cattail Creek. Salary range: $15.16 - $18.51 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Position remains open until filled.
Benefits include discounted rounds of golf and discounts in the pro shop.
This is a part‑year position lasting a maximum of 10 months, working less than 30 hours per week.
Essential Functions
Coordinate with the Golf Professional and Assistant to open and close the facility.
Assist golf play activities on the course.
Collect fees and assist with sales of pro shop merchandise.
Assist with golf cart staging, realigning, cleaning, or moving unneeded carts to the cart barn.
Pick up empty range ball baskets on the driving range and empty trash containers around the clubhouse.
Enhance the golf course image through quality customer service provided to all customers.
Other Job Functions
May be required to work at different facilities in other areas of the division.
Duties may also include trash removal, cleaning, painting and other maintenance tasks as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High School graduate or GED required.
Experience
1 year previous work experience performing similar customer service duties, including high degree of public contact and customer relations in a fast‑paced environment.
Must be a minimum age of 18 at time of hire.
Experience with a computerized cash register highly desirable.
Certifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
General working knowledge of pro shop procedures and methods.
Typing speed sufficient to complete a transaction or project in a timely manner.
Effective communication with co‑workers and the general public.
Answer telephones and clearly communicate information.
Deliver excellent customer service skills, deal with customers diplomatically and effectively, and demonstrate good judgment and patience.
Complete fee transactions quickly and accurately. Must be able to operate a menu‑driven computer/cash register system.
Physical Demands And Working Conditions
Frequent light to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks.
Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
Occasional exposure to routine office noise and equipment.
Occasional exposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
Occasional exposure to heat and noise, and working outside in the elements.
