Irrigation Technician

*GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:** Under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent/Sr. Golf Course Superintendent, and/or Foreman, the Irrigation Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation systems. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED certified. Previous experience in golf course irrigation operations preferred. Must possess valid Class D driver’s license upon date of hire and maintain validity throughout employment at SAGC, Inc.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:Knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system.Ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation problems.Ability to install irrigation valves, pipes and heads.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Repair & Maintain Irrigation SystemIdentify parts and supplies needed for irrigation system.Involvement in daily course preparation, including cup setting, tee markers, and mowing.Occasionally directs a small labor force for special projects related to the irrigation system.Maintain a clean, safe work environment.*MACHINERY/EQUIPMENT USED: All golf course equipment, including tractors, hand tools, skid steer, loaders, mowers, backhoes, trucks, and all other maintenance equipment.*REGULATIONS/POLICIES TO MAINTAIN:** · Employee Policies and Procedures and the Employee Safety Handbook Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour Benefits 401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insuranceOpportunities for advancementPaid jury dutyPaid sick timePaid time offReferral programRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insurance Supplemental Pay Overtime pay Work Location: In person
