Sandia Golf Club, located in Albuquerque, NM, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Course Superintendent! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. Pay
$105,000 – $115,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plansPlans, organizes, and directs the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkersSupervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plantsEnsures that maintenance equipment is properly maintainedProcures supplies and materials within budgetary limitationsKeeps records of annual maintenance activities and costs; prepares reportsImplements sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possibleReconciles and provides timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documentsCoordinates snow removal (depending upon facility location)Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed, including compliance with government regulationsEnsures that they and all associates obtain proper training and/or licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations; directly addresses all real or perceived environmental concernsEnsures proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemicals and fertilizers used on the courseManages department members that may include, but are not limited to: Assistant Superintendent, 2nd Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation TechnicianAssures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate; develops ongoing training programsIncorporates safe work practices in job performance

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science.
Valid driver's license requiredPesticide license preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications
