Role Description
Dallas Country Club is currently seeking qualified individuals for a Food and Beverage Pool Supervisor. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best. Candidates need to be passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic about Hospitality. This is a seasonal position with the potential for further advancement and career.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests.
• Follow all Dallas Country Club policies and procedures.
• Assist with training, and enforcing all DCC service standards using use records, menus, and appropriate reference materials.
• Open and close shift in accordance with manager's checklist.
• Assign daily opening/closing procedures for servers and server assistants.
• Be present on the pool deck the entirety of your shift and ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure staff are keeping pool areas/grounds clean and free of debris for presentation and safety.
• Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
• Consistently follow local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
• Assist in ensuring that scheduling functions are performed accurately and on a timely basis.
• Exercise server rotation to ensure pool sections are distributed fairly.
• Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well-trained staff on menu/job knowledge and daily specials.
• Ensure staff are present in their sections, actively monitoring the pool deck.
• Find solutions for problems such as call outs, last-minute changes or any daily problems that may arise.
• During shift, ensure that Members are satisfied by assisting with serving, cleaning, and communication with kitchen.
• Ensure all side work is completed daily.
• Assist any associate in his/her job performance, when required, to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Complete daily recaps at the end of each shift, ensuring staffing levels, sales and pool usage are documented daily.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
• Minimum of one year food experience or related hospitality management experience.
• Must have TABC/Food Handlers certification.
• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Written/Verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities:
• Able to work with teams.
• Able to work in extreme heat, depending on weather conditions.
• Basic technical knowledge of restaurant operation.
• Demonstrated hospitality skills.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic.
• Pool Opens: May 1st
Weekends only until May 25th
• Pool Opens 7 days starting May 25th
Pool operating hours vary month to month.
Pool Closed for the season starting September 7th.
