Outside Services Attendant
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to our members and guests on the golf course property. Anticipate and fulfill customer needs in a variety of responsibilities as assigned which may include work in Cart Barn, Driving Range, Starting and Course Play (Marshal)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and welcome all golfers and assist players as necessary. Treat all guests, and employees with respect. Maintain friendly and professional appearance.
Maintain positive, friendly, visibility with uniform, and name tag.
Ensure clothing is clean, pressed, and in good condition and overall attire and appearance meets dress code guidelines for themself and all staff members
Maintain cleanliness of work area and all areas outside of the pro-shop and clubhouse
Keeps Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Practice Range – sample tasks include:
Ensure stations are set and players are practicing within designated areas.
Inform players of any restrictions or changes in practice area conditions and golf club use
Attend range throughout the day maintaining cleanliness.
Pick up and break down range.
Cart Barn – sample tasks include:
Stage golf carts.
Maintain staging area, driving range, and practice area set-up.
Clean and maintain golf carts and cart barn area.
Carry out starting and marshaling duties as needed.
Starter
Review a prepared list of golf course rules.
Inform Members and Guests of any unusual conditions that exist on the course.
Help to promote pro shop and restaurant highlights
Communicate with other Outside Service Staff to ensure that all players tee off at their scheduled times.
Required Qualifications:
· Basic knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures.
· Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
· Ability to physically lift and carry golf balls and range ball cases.
· Ability to operate golf carts.
· Present a positive, professional image.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Reliable and predictable attendance.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
· Must be able to frequently walk, sit, stand, bend; talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
· The employee will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including high temperatures and cold temperatures.
· The employee will be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet with occasional noise from guest events and landscape equipment and machinery.
