Job Summary
The Equipment Technician/Golf Course Maintenance team members work closely with the Equipment Fleet Manager and Golf Course Maintenance staff to maintain and repair small engine equipment while also assisting with the daily maintenance of the golf course and clubhouse grounds. This position offers opportunities for hands-on training and professional growth in equipment maintenance and golf course operations.
Essential Functions
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on small engine equipment and related tools.
Assist with maintaining the golf course and clubhouse grounds to established quality standards.
Operate tractors, mowers, and other specialized equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf management products in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough as assigned.
Prepare new turf areas by grading, tilling, raking, and seeding as needed.
Maintain bunkers, cart paths, and other golf course features.
Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair small engines, power equipment, or electrical motors is preferred.
Previous experience maintaining golf course equipment, landscaping equipment, or similar machinery is preferred but not required.
Formal technical or vocational training is a plus but not required.
Ability to learn new skills through on-the-job training.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Good judgement skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position regularly works outdoors and is exposed to varying weather conditions, mechanical equipment, noise, dust, and vibration. Occasional exposure to wet, cold, hot or humid conditions, and mechanical equipment may occur.
The position requires the ability to:
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
Safely operate powered equipment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, boots, respirators, or other safety equipment as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a full-time, year-round position. Work schedules vary seasonally; with day shift start and end times adjusted to meet operational needs.
