Grounds Crew Member

Skaneateles Country Club is seeking motivated individuals to join our grounds crew for the upcoming season. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors on a high-end golf course while gaining hands-on experience in turf management. Position Overview This role is physically demanding and best suited for individuals who enjoy being active and working outside. Crew members can expect to walk 5+ miles per day while performing a variety of tasks essential to maintaining top-level playing conditions. This is not a high-stress job, but it does require consistency, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Showing up on time and ready to work every day is critical. Responsibilities · Mowing greens, tees, and fairways • Raking bunkers and course setup • String trimming, blowing, and general course cleanup • Hand watering and irrigation tasks • Assisting with aerification and other cultural practices • Operating small equipment and utility vehicles Requirements · Ability to perform physical labor daily (walking, lifting, bending, early mornings) • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions • Must be reliable and punctual • Positive attitude and willingness to learn • No prior golf course experience required; training provided Schedule and Perks · Early morning shifts (typically 5:00–5:30 AM start) • 40 hours guaranteed with strong overtime potential during peak season • Consistent schedule with early finish times • Opportunity for advancement into full-time or year-round roles for the right candidate Who This Job Is Great For · Individuals who prefer working outdoors over being indoors • People who enjoy staying active throughout the day • Students, seasonal workers, or anyone looking to build a strong work routine If you take pride in your work, show up on time, and don’t mind putting in a full day on your feet, we’d like to hear from you.
