Golf Course Maintenance Operator

We invite you to be part of this amazing and inclusive team! Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to assist in the maintenance and construction of our golf courses. In this role, you will operate various equipment, contribute to groundskeeping tasks, and ensure our golf courses meet the highest standards of quality. Reporting Structure You will report directly to the Equipment Manager. Key Responsibilities • Operate powered equipment for mowing golf course areas, including greens, slopes, tee boxes, and roughs. • Conduct daily equipment inspections to guarantee functionality and safety. • Thoroughly clean and store all equipment after use to maintain operational readiness. • Minimize operational noise and distractions to create a respectful environment for golfers. • Assist in preparing sand bunkers and maintaining overall course conditions. • Water and fertilize various course sections as required. • Grade soil for plant beds, sod installation, and the seeding of greens and fairways. • Change cups on greens and reposition tee markers as needed. • Maintain cleanliness of all course facilities, including ball washers and water hazards. • Handle tree trimming, shrub pruning, and flower cultivation as necessary. • Support the construction efforts for new greens, tees, and fairways. Additional Responsibilities As part of our dynamic environment, you may be asked to assist with additional tasks assigned by management. It’s crucial to uphold professionalism in interactions with members and colleagues, adhere to safety guidelines, and pursue personal and professional growth through maintaining relevant certifications. Qualifications • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating equipment in golf courses or landscaping. • Experience with golf course maintenance equipment, including knowledge of upkeep and repairs. Preferred Qualifications • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Physical Requirements This position involves outdoor work in varying temperatures and requires physical activities such as lifting (up to 100 lbs), standing, climbing, squatting, and more. Tools and Equipment Familiarity with construction tools, gardening equipment, blowers, mowers, tractors, and mechanical tools is essential. Work Schedule The work schedule will align with club requirements, and additional hours, including weekends and holidays, may be necessary.
