About This Position
The seasonal Pro Shop Clerk will complete work of a clerical nature to assist with the operation of the Kickingbird Golf Club, specifically in the Pro Shop. They will maintain the cleanliness and order of the pro shop; promote and assist with activities at the course; and complete other various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalentValid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrierGolf related work experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls, make tee time reservations, and assign golf cartsProperly charge green fees, cart fees, range fees, and all other golf course related fees (including pro shop merchandise)Open, close, and balance the cash drawerDevote time, attention, and energy to the performance of day-to-day operations of the golf shop, including the promotion of activities at the golf courseReceive merchandise and maintain merchandise displays, proper inventory levels, and folding/presentation of merchandiseRecord accurate purchase orders and information when processing custom orders for customersAssist in physical inventoryUnderstand, comply with, and enforce all City of Edmond and KickingBird Golf policies and proceduresAssist with USGA GHIN Handicap score entry and maintenanceHelp keep all areas clean and organized at all times, including vacuuming the Pro Shop, restrooms, hallways, and officesAttend staff meetings and safety training as assignedAccomplish unforeseen tasks related to assigned duties, including running errands or assisting others
Necessary Skills
Strong communication and customer service skillsAbility to learn or prior knowledge of golf operationsAbility to learn or prior knowledge of point-of-sale software, tournament software, and related equipmentAbility to maintain confidentiality, be safety conscious, and present yourself in a professional mannerAttendance at work is an essential function of the position (working from home is not an option for this position)
