Golf Course Superintendent Location: Southwestern Minnesota Facility: 9-Hole Golf Course Reports To: Board of Directors The Role We’re looking for someone who takes pride in a good-looking golf course and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. This is a working superintendent role — not a desk job. You’ll be out on the course daily making sure conditions are right, solving problems, and leading a small crew. If you’re the type who notices striping on fairways, cares about clean greens, and fixes things before anyone else sees the problem — this is the job. What You’ll Do Be on-site daily managing and working alongside the grounds crewKeep greens, tees, fairways, and rough in solid playing conditionRun and maintain the irrigation system (and fix it when it breaks)Stay ahead of weeds, disease, dry spots, and weather challengesSet pins and tees with playability in mindMaintain equipment or coordinate repairs when neededHire, train, and lead a small seasonal crewKeep things running within budget — spend money where it mattersWhat We’re Looking For Experience on a golf course (Superintendent or Assistant is ideal, but not required if you know your stuff)Strong understanding of turf in a Minnesota climateSomeone who can work independently and make decisions without needing hand-holdingMechanical ability is a big plusShows up early, works hard, and takes ownershipEasy to work with — you’ll interact with the Board and membersThe Reality of the Job Early mornings are the norm during the seasonSome weekends and holidays — it’s golfWeather changes everything — you adapt and keep movingCompensation Competitive pay based on experienceGolf privilegesBottom Line We want someone who treats the course like it’s their own.
