About the Role

FLSA Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Summary: Perform the operation, installation, maintenance and repair of manual, semi-automatic and automatic irrigation systems. Install, maintain and repair drainage system. Water trees, fairways, greens and common areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent with preventive maintenance of the drainage system, irrigation system, and its components
• Repair irrigation system defects
• Assist Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in maintaining parts inventory and make all irrigation orders with approval
• Check irrigation system daily for leaks and dry areas
• Record changes in irrigation system component routing or locations on the working copy of the system as-built drawings
• Provide input on checking the moisture of the course and adjustment of the irrigation clocks
• Grass cutting, edging, trimming in all areas
• Change cups and markers, service ball washers, cart paths, and landscape areas
• Clean and maintain the rest rooms when needed
• Equipment operation
• Other duties assigned by Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High school education or equivalent required. Must have knowledge of the game of golf and a minimum of six months’ experience working on irrigation systems.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Mathematical Skill:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret data.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to solve simple problems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a standard transmission.

Must be able to work in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees in the summer and below 20 degrees in the winter.
