POSITION: Murphy’s Grille Line Cook
POSITION REPORTS TO: Murphy’s Grille Manager / Executive Chef
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Murphy’s Grille Line Cook plays a critical role in delivering high-quality food, maintaining strong ticket times, and upholding all kitchen standards. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays composed under pressure, and leads by example to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Must be able to work independently
Key Responsibilities
• Execute service with speed, consistency, and quality
• Set up, stock, and break down the line for service
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards
• Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
• Assist with prep lists, inventory awareness, and minimizing waste
• Troubleshoot issues during service and keep operations running smoothly
• Primarily daytime/lunch shifts
• Weekends and holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2+ years of line cook experience
• Strong understanding of service flow and ticket management
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Lift up to 40 lbs
