We are seeking a driven Assistant Superintendent who is passionate about turf management and eager to grow within a high-performance environment.
Position Summary
The Assistant Superintendent works directly with the Golf Course Superintendent and is involved in all aspects of daily golf course maintenance. This position plays a key leadership role in executing agronomic programs, supervising staff, and helping maintain exceptional course conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing daily maintenance operations
- Supervise and train crew members; monitor performance and quality standards
- Apply fertilizers and plant protectants in compliance with regulations
- Assist with irrigation scheduling, repair, and water management
- Operate and maintain turf equipment as needed
- Support course setup and detail work
- Maintain accurate records of applications, weather, and course conditions
- Serve as acting Superintendent in their absence

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000-60,000 (commensurate with experience)

- Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of golf course maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain Pennsylvania pesticide applicator license within 6 months
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and modern agronomic practices
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
