About the Role
Description
Job Overview:
The Irrigation Crew assists with the care and repair of the irrigation system.
Your Responsibilities:
Responsible for the watering of lawns and shrubs. Digs trenches for irrigation repair work Assist in keeping the job site tidy, organized and safe Use all installation tools according to company safety policy Maintains, cleans and properly stores equipment. Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment. Other duties as required.
Additional Duties:
Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work. Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management. Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience preferred Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs following appropriate safety procedures Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity) Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
What We Offer:
As a full-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays and a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.
Compensation: $20.00-$22.00 hourly; paid bi-weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5:00AM-1:30PM)
