The Food & Beverage Manager role at North Ridge Country Club is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the club's food and beverage outlets. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and focuses on delivering outstanding dining experiences to members through operational excellence and strong team leadership. The manager will supervise service areas such as a la carte dining, bar service, and special events, ensuring all outlets operate efficiently and uphold the club's high standards.
This role requires coordinating front-of-house staff and culinary teams to create a seamless service flow, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and fostering a culture of hospitality that reflects the club's guest-centric philosophy. The Food & Beverage Manager will be the face of the club during service periods, engaging with members regularly, responding to feedback, and personalizing dining experiences based on member preferences and needs.
Staff development is a vital component of the position, encompassing recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and training front-of-house personnel to meet club standards. The manager will lead by example, conducting pre-shift meetings, providing continuous mentorship, and ensuring staff are well-versed in service etiquette, menu knowledge, wine service, and beverage offerings.
Financial stewardship is also a significant aspect, including monitoring labor costs, reviewing sales and revenue reports, managing inventory, and assisting with beverage menu development and compliance with alcohol regulations. The Food & Beverage Manager collaborates closely with banquet and culinary teams to plan and execute club events, ensuring an excellent member experience is maintained at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality management, preferably within a private club or upscale hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills, advanced knowledge of food and beverage service, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to remain composed in a fast-paced environment are essential. A hospitality degree is preferred but not required. Physical demands include the ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
