The Cook 1 position at Invited is an entry-level culinary role centered around supporting kitchen operations by performing foundational food preparation tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and organizing their workstation, preparing and storing food items according to company standards, and maintaining strict cleanliness and sanitation protocols within the kitchen area. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef, the Cook 1 works closely with more experienced team members such as Cook 2 and Cook 3 to deliver consistent food quality and presentation.
This position requires a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to meet the ever-changing needs of a busy club environment. The Cook 1 will adhere to proper cooking techniques as well as collaborate to achieve daily specials, salads, entrees, and other menu items predefined by the Chef. The role includes receiving and storing goods, managing shared items like condiments and soups, communicating any food quality issues, and interacting professionally with members and guests to ensure excellent service. Beyond daily tasks, employees in this role are expected to support their teammates, handle member requests, and engage in effective service recovery when challenges arise.
The dynamic nature of the clubs means that this role may require assisting other staff members with additional tasks, adhering to safety and company policies, and participating actively in personal and professional growth opportunities.
