About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Food and Beverage to lead our culinary and hospitality operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic plans for all food and beverage operations, aligning with organizational goals and member and guest expectations.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise culinary teams, including kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and catering personnel to ensure high performance and teamwork.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to guarantee adherence to safety standards and quality control.
• Manage daily shift operations across multiple outlets, including restaurants, bars and catering events.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service and food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and dietary requirements while fostering a culture of cleanliness and safety.
• Collaborate with management teams to optimize menu offerings, pricing strategies, inventory control, and cost management.
• Drive customer service excellence by monitoring guest feedback, resolving issues promptly, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Sell, manage and coordinate catering services and banquet functions to deliver seamless event execution that exceeds client expectations.
• Maintain detailed records of operational activities, staff schedules, training sessions, and safety inspections to support efficient management.
Skills
• Extensive experience in food production, cooking techniques, and culinary arts within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
• Proven management skills with a track record of supervising diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of food service management principles including kitchen management, shift supervision, and restaurant operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously.
• Expertise in alcohol service and food handling safety protocols and compliance with health regulations.
• Experience in catering operations, banquet service, or dietary department management is highly desirable.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while fostering a positive work environment; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with the food industry trends such as culinary innovation or specialty dietary accommodations like gluten-free or vegan options.
• Ability to train staff on food safety practices such as proper hygiene procedures and allergen awareness.
• Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, inventories, budgets, and operational reports related to food service activities.
