About Overlake:
Overlake Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club located just outside Seattle. Our classic A.V. Macan-designed 18-hole course is renowned for its commitment to superior playing conditions, environmental stewardship, and a supportive workplace culture. We are continuing an ongoing long-range Master Plan with architect Jeff Mingay. We have completed tee, bunker, and drainage renovations and this year we will be completing a renovation of the Driving Range.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Assistant Superintendent to join our golf course management team. This position is one of three equal Assistant Superintendents, all of whom play a central role in planning and executing daily operations.
Our team-based leadership model gives Assistants a high degree of ownership and decision-making opportunity. You’ll be deeply involved in all aspects of turf management, including crew leadership, irrigation and moisture management, cultural practices, and project planning.

Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise daily maintenance operationsTrain, develop, and motivate crew membersManage irrigation system scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairManage chemical and fertilizer applications, and product inventoriesMonitor turf health and implement cultural practicesAssist in planning and execution of construction and renovation projectsCollaborate with the Superintendent and other Assistants to drive continuous improvementDegree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related field preferredWashington State Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)2–4 years of progressive golf course experiencePrior supervisory experienceSpanish-speaking ability is valued but not required
