Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Grounds Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the management and maintenance of our golf course, ensuring that grounds are pristine, healthy, and well maintained. Your leadership will help coordinate projects, oversee routine care of the golf course , and supervise maintenance activities across the grounds. Responsibilities
Assist in supervising landscape maintenance teams to ensure high-quality care of lawns, gardens, trees, and other outdoor features
Support the planning and execution of landscaping projects, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and construction tasks
Oversee irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning and water efficiency across all landscaped areas
Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify issues related to turf health, tree care, pest control, or safety hazards
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services such as arboriculture or landscape construction
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, project progress, and equipment inspections
Lead safety initiatives by enforcing proper use of tools and ensuring adherence to safety protocols during all grounds activities
Qualifications
Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture with a focus on Golf course environment management
Supervising experience in groundskeeping or related fields demonstrating leadership skills
Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care techniques, gardening practices, and general maintenance procedures
Familiarity with construction activities related to outdoor spaces and landscape installation projects
Strong understanding of plant health management and pest control strategies
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
