Golf Shop Supervisor

Position Purpose Manages, directs and organizes Golf Shop operations to maintain/achieve revenue goals, quality, service, merchandising and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding guest experience. Essential Functions • Supporting, training, and developing all golf shop staff according to policies, service standards and guidelines. • Support all supervisors with leading associates. • Responsible for overall guest experience in the golf shop. Focus on golfer/guest experience from arrival to golf shop to departure. • Assists managing records and other administrative functions of the department: PO’s, invoicing, etc. when necessary • Ensure golf shop staff is well verse on the golf package billing process. • Interviews, hires, trains, directs and supervises staff for the purpose of delivering 5 star service standards and a high quality golf experience. • Golf Shop Supervisor(s) • Golf Desk Attendants • Retail Attendants in Golf Shop • Oversees the scheduling of staff to ensure proper coverage is maintained based on the volume of play and groups. Establishes customer service standards and ensures that the proper LSOP’s are followed for each area. • Ensures the maintenance and appealing merchandising of the retail shop. • Assists and oversees in inventories. • To ensure proper inventory levels in Golf Shop (with Director of Golf): • Manage Open to Buy in Golf Shop • Manage Markdowns • Organize and execute special promotions, displays and events to maximize revenue, profit and guest experience • Respond to guest comments and charge disputes. • Initiating changes to improve the operation. Other Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Grand Palms Resort from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the industry that we are in, a need will occur for each associate to provide “Lateral Service”. Our goal is to ensure that we are maximizing customer satisfaction and as a result there will be times when our associates in the Operation will call upon us for support in order to ensure customer satisfaction occurs. When we are fortunate enough for this to occur, each associate will positively respond unless there is a chance that an opportunity resulting in dissatisfying a guest could occur. If this is the case the leader is to be notified and the level of support that is being requested will be obtained.
