About the Role
Position Overview
Elmira Country Club is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Banquet Setup / Houseperson to support events and maintain the overall appearance of the club. This role is hands-on and plays an important part in delivering a great experience for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
• Set up and break down banquet rooms based on event layouts and function sheets
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and equipment for events
• Reset rooms quickly and efficiently between events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces and storage areas
• Assist with light grounds work as needed, including picking up debris and keeping outdoor areas presentable
• Support the team with general housekeeping and event-related tasks
• Follow direction from event and management staff to ensure setups are accurate and on time
Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift and move tables, chairs, and equipment regularly
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
