About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Golf Professional to manage all golf operations at their prestigious facility located in **Nashville, Tennessee, US**. This role is crucial for delivering an exceptional experience to members and guests, overseeing the pro shop, tournament management, and golf instruction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep knowledge of golf, and a commitment to service excellence.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the golf course, including the pro shop, driving range, and practice facilities. Manage inventory, merchandising, and sales within the pro shop to meet revenue targets. Develop, plan, and execute a variety of golf events, tournaments, and clinics for members and guests. Provide high-quality golf instruction, including individual lessons, group clinics, and junior programs, to players of all skill levels. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate golf staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and operational procedures. Manage player services, tee time reservations, and cart fleet operations. Maintain positive relationships with members, guests, and golf staff, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with the course superintendent and other department heads to ensure seamless operations. Stay current with golf industry trends, technologies, and teaching methodologies. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote golf programs and services.
Qualifications:
PGA Class A Professional certification or equivalent is required. Minimum of 7 years of experience in golf operations management, preferably in a Head Professional or Assistant Professional role at a reputable club or resort. Demonstrated expertise in golf instruction, playing, and course management. Proven leadership and staff management abilities. Strong merchandising and inventory control skills. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in golf management software (e.g., Jonas, ForeTees) and POS systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as dictated by the golf season. A passion for the game of golf and a commitment to fostering a positive golf environment.
