Massanutten Resort Mc Gaheysville, VA 22840, USA Description Job Summary The Golf Cart Attendant will maintain the quality and organization of all golf cart and club rental inventories during daily golf course operations. A High school diploma or the equivalency is necessary unless currently attending school. A valid driver’s license is required to operate golf carts. The cart attendant position requires that an employee stand for long periods of time outside, with physical requirements such as stooping, bending, and lifting an average weight of 30 pounds. Required • High school diploma or equivalent (unless currently attending school) • Valid driver’s license • Dependable with a strong work ethic • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Good problem-solving skills • Ability to work with others Typical Schedule Days: Varied including weekends and holidays Hours: Varied including evenings, weekends, and holidays Core Responsibilities • Inspect returned carts by checking for damage and report any damage to the golf shop immediately, remove all garbage and debris, clean cart throughly, and return golf cart to cart barn in a neat and orderly fashion • Inspect returned club rentals by counting clubs immediately and radio the golf shop, clean clubs thoroughly, arrange clubs in bag in an orderly fashion, and place club rentals in proper storage area • Maintain knowledge of cart and club rental inventories at the appropriate golf course • Assist with closing responsibilities (trash and clean-up of workplace for next day), keeping carts full of gas, keeping adequate supply of carts out front, staying well informed about entire golf operation, and keeping supervisors informed about needed supplies/tools as needed • Assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of bag drop, staging areas, cart barn and practice facilities • Inform Golf Shop Supervisor of any problems or complaints from customers as soon as possible • Other duties as assigned by management Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
