Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Golf Course Assistant Superintendent to support the management and maintenance of our golf course grounds. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance, landscaping, and turf management, with a passion for creating pristine playing surfaces. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, overseeing turf care operations, and ensuring the golf course meets the highest standards of aesthetics and playability.
Duties
Assist in planning and executing daily landscape maintenance activities to ensure optimal course conditions.
Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, promoting teamwork and efficiency.
Oversee turf management practices including irrigation, fertilization, aeration, and pest control.
Maintain equipment and tools related to landscaping, ensuring proper operation and safety standards are met.
Collaborate with the superintendent to develop maintenance schedules that align with seasonal needs and course priorities.
Skills
Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, turf management, and landscaping techniques.
Supervising experience with strong leadership skills to motivate team members effectively.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture principles, and gardening techniques.
Strong understanding of irrigation systems, pest management, and general maintenance procedures.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management effectively.
