What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be an essential member of our medical team, working closely with our veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians to provide outstanding patient care and an exceptional client experience. Responsibilities include: Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and medical procedures Safely restraining and handling patients Preparing exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining medical equipment Monitoring hospitalized patients and assisting with treatments Collecting laboratory samples and running in-house diagnostics Filling medications and preparing discharge instructions Maintaining accurate medical records Educating clients on preventative care and at-home treatment plans Keeping the hospital clean, organized, and running efficiently What We're Looking For Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Compassion for both animals and the people who love them Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals of all sizes Why You'll Love Working With Us At our new Belfair hospital, we're building more than a veterinary practice—we're building a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
