Job Title: Golf Course Groundskeeper / Landscape Maintenance TechnicianDepartment Golf Operations / Grounds Reports To Golf Course Superintendent Location Bay Valley Resort FLSA Status Non-Exempt Position Summary Bay Valley Resort is seeking a hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to join our Golf Course Grounds team as a Golf Course Groundskeeper / Landscape Maintenance Technician. This physically demanding position plays a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance, playability, and health of the golf course and resort grounds. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high-quality landscapes, and is comfortable performing physical labor in varying weather conditions. Team members in this role help ensure the golf course, practice areas, landscaping, and outdoor resort spaces remain clean, safe, and visually appealing for guests, members, tournaments, and events. Key Responsibilities Perform daily golf course and landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, raking, and debris removal Maintain tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, roughs, flower beds, and resort landscaping areas Assist with irrigation system maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and watering schedules Operate landscaping equipment and machinery including mowers, trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles, and other groundskeeping tools Plant, fertilize, mulch, water, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and turf areas Prepare the golf course for daily play, tournaments, outings, and special events Assist with bunker maintenance, divot repair, cup changing, and other golf course setup duties Monitor grounds and outdoor spaces for hazards, damaged equipment, irrigation issues, or maintenance concerns Support seasonal operations including leaf removal, storm cleanup, and snow removal as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities, tools, and storage areas Follow all company safety standards, equipment procedures, and resort operational policies Qualifications Required Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods outdoors Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly Comfortable working in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, humidity, and cold temperatures Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on golf course operations Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Valid driver’s license Preferred Previous golf course maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, or groundskeeping experience Familiarity with landscaping equipment, power tools, and turf maintenance practices Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and lawn care techniques Horticulture, turf management, or landscaping experience is a plus Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive physical movement Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and machinery Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying environmental conditions Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Why Join Bay Valley Resort?
