About the Role
## Part Time Golf Pro Shop Attendant/Assistant - $15/hour
Weekends are required for this position, which reports directly to the Director of Golf and Hospitality.
## About the Role
Your mission in this position is to serve the needs of residents, visitors, and staff by offering information and assistance in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. This is a customer-facing role that sits at the heart of the golf operation.
## What You'll Do
You'll greet members, guests, and the general public of Freedom Fairways in a friendly, cheerful, and professional manner while maintaining a neat personal appearance and dressing appropriately for the role.
Telephone responsibilities include answering calls, accepting tee times, and monitoring reservations for both Golf and Pickle Ball activities. You'll maintain all required daily reports, including counting cash receipts, recording counts in the appropriate documentation, and turning in receipts to the Freedom Plaza Accounting Department. The Golf Revenue Daily Work Sheet is a key responsibility you'll manage regularly.
Keeping the pro shop environment neat and clean is essential—this means dusting, wiping counters, vacuuming carpet, and ensuring trash is taken to the proper drop area. You'll also support the company's Safety Program by practicing good safety habits and reporting any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
## What We're Looking For
You should have either a high school diploma or GED, or alternatively, 1 year of experience in Golf Operations. You'll need solid mathematical skills—the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers accurately, plus the competence to make correct change on monetary transactions.
Our community fully embraces a culture of hospitality, and we're looking for someone who genuinely embodies these principles. We greet residents, employees, and guests warmly, by name and with a smile. We treat everyone with courteous respect and strive to anticipate resident, employee, and guest needs and act accordingly. We listen and respond enthusiastically in a timely manner, holding ourselves and one another accountable while embracing and valuing our differences. Making residents, employees, and guests feel important matters to us, as does asking "Is there anything else I can do for you?" We maintain high levels of professionalism in both conduct and appearance at all times, and we pay attention to details.
## Benefits
We offer a competitive benefits package including 401(k), an employee assistance program, employee discounts, and health insurance.
