About the Role
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pool Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pool area and associated food and beverage outlets at a resort or recreational facility. This role includes managing the pool concessions, walk-up bar, and turn bar for the golf course. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality or restaurant management, and experience managing events and guest services. The Pool Manager is responsible for supervising staff, enforcing safety and service standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-energy, customer-focused environment while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily pool operations, ensuring all safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently met.
• Supervise and manage pool staff, concession staff, and bar staff, providing leadership and direction during all shifts.
• Oversee operations of the pool concessions, walk-up bar, and golf course turn bar, ensuring efficient service, proper staffing, and high-quality guest experiences.
• Manage guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Coordinate and oversee pool-related events, parties, and special functions to enhance guest engagement.
• Handle shift management duties, including scheduling, staff coverage, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels across all pool and bar areas.
• Maintain accurate records including daily operations reports, incident logs, cash handling reports, and safety compliance documentation.
• Enforce pool safety regulations and emergency procedures, responding effectively to incidents as they arise.
• Manage cash handling, inventory oversight, and point-of-sale operations for concessions and bar services.
• Collaborate with hospitality, food and beverage, and golf operations teams to ensure seamless service across departments.
Requirements
• Proven management or supervisory experience in hospitality, resort, nightclub, pool club, or restaurant environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Experience overseeing food and beverage operations, concessions, or bar service is highly preferred.
• Experience with event management and shift operations is a strong plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to handle cash transactions, inventory, and sales reporting accurately and responsibly.
• Experience completing operational reports and safety or incident documentation.
• Knowledge of pool safety protocols or recreational facility regulations is preferred.
• Hospitality or resort industry background is a plus; prior assistant manager or bar manager experience is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
