About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Golf Operations to manage and elevate the golf experience at their prestigious facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, US . This is a hands-on role requiring a passion for golf and a proven track record in managing golf course operations, staff, and member relations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the golf department, ensuring the highest standards of service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with the General Manager and other department heads to achieve the club's strategic goals and enhance member satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily golf operations, including tee time management, pace of play, and course maintenance coordination. Managing and developing a team of golf professionals, outside services staff, and retail associates. Implementing and enforcing club policies and procedures to ensure a high-quality member and guest experience. Developing and executing strategic plans for the golf department, including programming, tournaments, and events. Managing the golf budget, including revenue generation and cost control for pro shop, food and beverage, and instruction services. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Building strong relationships with members, guests, and staff, fostering a welcoming and professional environment. Overseeing the inventory and merchandising of the golf shop. Developing and implementing player development programs and instructional offerings. Qualifications:
PGA Class A Professional certification or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in golf operations management. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong financial acumen and budget management experience. Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and standards. Experience with golf course management software and POS systems. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. This position requires the candidate to be present on-site at our facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, US .
