One of the most welcoming member‑owned clubs in Naples, Florida, Kensington Golf & Country Club is seeking a highly engaging, visible, and approachable General Manager to lead the Club into its next chapter. Following an exceptional 11‑year tenure, the retiring General Manager leaves behind a legacy of stability, professionalism, and a deeply rooted culture of connection. The incoming leader will inherit a high‑performing management team, a unified membership, and a fully renovated clubhouse that reopened in November 2025. With these strong foundations in place, the next GM will partner closely with the Board of Directors to refine and advance a strategic vision that aligns with the Club’s mission, values, and long‑term aspirations. Kensington Golf & Country Club is a warm and welcoming private club located in an independent gated community in the heart of Naples. It is designed to help members enjoy meaningful connections, exceptional amenities, and memorable experiences. Set within a beautifully maintained 20‑acre nature preserve, the Robert Trent Jones Jr. 18‑hole, par‑71 golf course serves as the centerpiece of the Club. Celebrated as one of the few truly walkable courses in Naples, it blends thoughtful strategy with relaxed, enjoyable play, offering pristine fairways, engaging shot options, and opportunities for golfers at every level to feel inspired.
Kensington’s commitment to health and recreation extends beyond the golf course. There is a well‑equipped Fitness center with a wide variety of fitness classes and professional trainers. The Club is expanding its court sports offerings to a total of six dedicated pickleball courts and seven tennis courts, supporting both new and seasoned players. A full calendar of social events, from themed dinners to family‑friendly activities, reflects the Club’s focus on fostering connection and community.

General Manager – Position Overview
The General Manager (GM) at Kensington Golf & Country Club will have full responsibility for all aspects of operations of the Club, effectively managing all resources, and is expected to be the embodiment of an exceptional member‑centric experience, providing a clear ‘tone at the top’ model of conduct. The GM will lead the management team and exemplify modern, best‑practice services and member experiences.
Direct Reports will include the Director of Finance, Director of Employee Relations and Member Services, Membership and Marketing Director, Director of Communications, Executive Chef, Facilities Manager, Clubhouse Manager, Fitness Director, Director of Golf Course Operations, Director of Golf, and Director of Court Sports.

• Exceptional team‑building skills at a top‑tier level of service delivery, especially in a high‑end luxury environment and/or member‑owned club environment.
• Ability to mentor, empower, develop, and maintain a top‑tier, professional team while setting and maintaining high standards of performance excellence.
• A strategic and visionary leader who can partner with the Board of Directors and define and create a vision that truly reflects the core of Kensington Golf & Country Club.
• Excellent financial skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate numbers and reports.
• Experienced in membership development with a proven ability to balance acquisition and retention to support long‑term club vitality.
• Appreciates the value of external community relationships and ensures the Club remains an active, giving partner.
• Exceptionally strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal, with the appropriate gravitas, personal presence, desire, and ability to interact effectively before diverse constituencies of members, staff, and vendors.
• Technologically confident, with the ability to apply modern systems in ways that support and advance high‑touch service delivery.
Initial Priorities of the New General Manager
• Listen, interact, observe, evaluate, and spend time to understand what makes Kensington Golf & Country Club a special and unique place.
• Evaluate the Kensington Golf & Country Club member experience in all areas, establish an agenda to fine‑tune the experience, and operate accordingly.
• Review the organizational chart and make recommendations for any necessary changes.
• Become familiar with completed capital projects, especially the Clubhouse, and any that are underway.
• Assess existing communication and technology platforms and strategies.
• Develop a relationship and strive to create synergy with the Kensington Park Master Association.
• Assess Membership offerings to develop marketing programs to grow membership in the Sport and Social categories.
• Create a "State of the Club" report to the Board after ninety (90) days of evaluation and observation.
Candidate Qualifications
• Preferably, at least 3–5 years of experience as GM in a high‑performing private golf and country club and/or luxury hospitality environments.
• Candidates who are "Rising Stars" in the industry with a track record of success will also be considered.
• Hospitality professionals from outside the industry may be considered if club community knowledge and key drivers to success can be validated.
Educational and Certification Qualifications
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred with a focus on Hospitality Management.
• In lieu of the degree, substantial private club or hospitality experience will be considered.
• Industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, CMC, or PGA are encouraged but not required.
Employment Eligibility Verification

Salary and Benefits
Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The club offers an excellent bonus and benefits package, including association membership.
