What You'll Do
As a Groundskeeper, you'll play an important role in maintaining championship-quality playing conditions throughout the property. Responsibilities include:
Mowing greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas
Maintaining bunkers, including raking, edging, and sand replacement
Repairing ball marks, filling divots, and preparing sod areas
Operating utility vehicles and golf course maintenance equipment
String trimming, edging, blowing, and general landscape maintenance
Planting and caring for trees, shrubs, flowers, and ornamental beds
Assisting with irrigation repairs, drainage projects, and manual watering
Maintaining practice facilities and driving range tee areas
Aerifying greens and assisting with cultural practices
Loading, unloading, and transporting materials
Cleaning and maintaining equipment after use
Supporting daily course setup and special projects
Performing other duties as assigned to maintain the exceptional standards of TPC Tampa Bay
Experience Requirements
Previous golf course maintenance or landscaping experience preferred, but not required
Interest in golf course management or the game of golf is a plus
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, walking, and operating equipment
Educational Requirements
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Eligible to work in the US
Special Requirements
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extremeheat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Able to meet and perform physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots, and hat.
Often required to get dirty and/or work in dirty environments.
Prefer that all groundskeepers possess a valid drivers license.
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
