Essential Responsibilities
The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of our golf operations team, contributing directly to daily operations, tournament execution, member services, and player development. This role is ideal for a PGA Associate working toward Class A membership or a PGA Member in good standing seeking a professionally rewarding seasonal position within a fast-paced private club environment.
This is a full-season position beginning May 1 and ending October 31.
You will play an active role in shaping the member experience, leading junior programs, managing leagues, supporting events, mentoring interns, and contributing ideas to help elevate our operation every day.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Member Experience
Oversee day-to-day golf operations to ensure smooth, professional serviceManage tee sheets, bookings, and member/guest check-insMonitor and support pace of playAssist at the 1st Tee and Starters ShackMaintain a polished, well-organized Golf Shop through merchandising and presentation
Tournament Operations
Collaborate closely with the Head Professional team on tournament setup and executionManage online registrations, event checklists, pairings, and preparationSupport first-tee operations, scoring, awards, and communicationsLead Tuesday/Thursday Women's Leagues, including weekly pairings, scoring, messaging, and shop credit administration
Instruction & Player Development
Provide private lessons as scheduling allowsServe as a lead instructor for the Junior Golf Program in collaboration with the Head Teaching ProfessionalDeliver engaging, ability-appropriate instruction during daily Junior CampsAssist with adult and ladies clinics
Leadership & Staff Development
Mentor and train seasonal interns, modeling professionalism, communication, and Quechee standardsFoster a collaborative, positive, and member-first environment
