The Bartender at Bryn Mawr Country Club (BMCC) prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to club members and guests while maintaining the club's high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service. The bartender ensures a welcoming bar atmosphere while delivering efficient and responsible beverage service. Additional Responsibilities Inspects the bar area prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies, glassware, and bar equipment are available for service. Requests additional supplies from management or storage areas as necessary to maintain proper service levels. Follows standard bar set-up procedures including stocking liquor, wine, beer, mixers, glassware, and service tools. Prepares garnishes, house mixes, and pre-mixed beverages as required for efficient service. Greets members and guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the bar area. Mixes, prepares, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards approved by the Food and Beverage Director. Demonstrates knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails in order to answer member questions and provide beverage recommendations. Prepares and presents the member charge slip (chit) for beverages served in accordance with club billing procedures. Reports any member or guest complaints or service issues to the manager immediately. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including countertops, glassware, equipment, and storage areas. Monitors inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies to ensure appropriate par levels are maintained at all times. Maintains daily inventory records and notes beverages that are in high demand to assist with ordering and stock management. Performs closing duties including cleaning the bar area, securing inventory, and locking up according to club procedures. Attends staff meetings and pre-shift meetings as required by management.
