Server Assistant / Food Runner

Description: A Server Assistant / Food Runner's role is to provide outstanding food & beverage service to Members and guests of Eastward Ho!. Follow Clubs’ standard operating procedures from appearance to performance and execute services as a team. This is a seasonal position that has a May 1, 2026 start date. Requirements: Job Summary ( Essential Functions): • Treat each other with respect and dignity is every team member’s responsibility. • Greet Members and guests upon arrival and send fond farewells when leaving. • Setup dining rooms and complete daily opening and closing check lists. • Assist servers and bartenders in all areas of food & beverage service. • Serve food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to Members and guests in proper manner as needed. • Read kitchen tickets carefully and set up trays appropriately. • Properly prepare all menu items with correct garnishes. • Deliver menu items to servers and serve food and beverage to Members and guests in proper manner. • Act as liaison between front of the house and back of the house to maintain proper communication with Chefs. • Perform cleaning duties as assigned. • Clear tables and carry dishes from dining room to kitchen. • Maintain work area cleanliness and proper food service safety procedures. • Address all Members by name whenever possible and take responsibility to learn Members’ names. • Setup kitchen with all sides, condiments and utensils needed for service with all food items. • Setup and breakdown of events, banquet functions and restaurant buffet setup, etc. • Assist bartenders with glassware washing, polishing and clearing. • Fill and maintain ice bins. • Remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen. • Collect and remove trash from side stations, bar and dining areas and dispose in dumpster. • Assist with set-up, cleaning, opening/closing, stocking/restocking of restaurant/food and beverage area. • Perform any other reasonable job-related duties as instructed by the Manager(s). Qualifications: No specific experience required. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Applicants must also be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds. All Server Assistants/Food Runners should be fluent in English (reading and speaking), and should be ServSafe and Allergy Awareness certified within 60 days of starting the position. Eastward Ho! will assist in this training for all employees.
