Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty, playability, and overall health of our golf course. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Superintendent to oversee daily landscape maintenance, turf management, and course conditioning. You will be instrumental in ensuring that every aspect of the course meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability, creating an exceptional experience for our golfers. Your leadership and expertise in horticulture, landscaping, and turf care will help foster a vibrant, well-maintained environment that reflects our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily golf course maintenance operations, including mowing, edging, fertilization, aeration, and pest control Supervise and coordinate landscaping activities such as planting, pruning, tree care, and flower bed maintenance to ensure aesthetic appeal Oversee irrigation systems to maintain optimal moisture levels and promote healthy turf growth while conserving water resources Support construction projects related to course improvements or renovations by coordinating with contractors and ensuring quality standards are met Lead and supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance on lawn care techniques, horticultural practices, and safety procedures Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify areas needing attention or repair and prioritize tasks accordingly Implement environmentally sustainable practices in landscape maintenance to promote eco-friendly course management Qualifications Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or turf management within a golf course or similar setting Strong supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in managing maintenance teams Knowledge of lawn care techniques, irrigation systems, horticulture principles, and tree care practices Familiarity with construction processes related to golf course development or renovation projects Ability to perform routine gardening tasks with precision and attention to detail Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and vendors A proactive approach to maintenance planning and problem-solving skills Join us as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating an outstanding golfing environment.
